Kawerau Enterprise Agency Inc

Who We Are

KEA (The Kawerau Enterprise Agency Inc.) was established in 1985 with assistance from Tasman Pulp & Paper Company Limited.

Our role is to ensure Kawerau remains a sustainable community by developing and maintaining robust economic and social structures in Kawerau. We achieve this by enhancing the Community's wealth through maximising the use of resources, growing business and attracting new business, youth development, governance and viability.

KEA sells it's business skills to other organisations and channels projects to the best or most appropriate place.

KEA is a self financing independent organisation. Income comes from the lease and rental of assets e.g. rooms and services provided at the KEA Centre located at 60 Onslow Street, Kawerau and industrial units at the KEA Industrial Park, and sale of Industrial Land.

In late 2010, KEA leased the Apprentice Training facility from Norske Skog Tasman to set up training for youth in Kawerau. Our anchor tenant is Transfield Services who are providing training to their staff and others in a number of fields. Refer to www.transfieldservices.com .
